EAR LICENSING

Most goods and services not covered under the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) are subject to regulations under the EAR – The Export Administration Regulation. The EAR is administered by the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, (BIS) which is the agency that issues export licenses for commercial (non-defense) goods and services if they are required.

DETERMINING EAR EXPORT LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

EAR license applications are submitted to the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Security and Industry via the BIS's electronic Simplified Network Application Process- Redesign system (SNAP-R). We can assist by drafting the application for you, or we can provide a peer review of your license application. We can fully act on your behalf to file EAR 748-P export license applications directly into the SNAP-R system and we can track the application's status through government review and provide regular updates on the review status on an ongoing basis.
