HISTORY

Formerly known as FD Logistics, the company was founded in 1990 by Fae Daniels to provide guidance to clients, both domestic and foreign, in the complex arena of export licensing, technology transfers and the requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

FD Associates mission is to assist small and medium-sized businesses in obtaining licenses or other approvals from the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) for articles, technology or services subject to the ITAR, or the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) for commercial or dual-use technology subject to the EAR and exporting in compliance with these regulations.

We currently have a staff of five consultants, (view consultant bios) all experts in the requirements of the ITAR and the EAR. We also have experience in the requirements of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATFE) regulations.

For over 15 years, FD Associates has assisted companies in devising strategies for the successful approval of licenses for a variety of commodities to a wide range of often, sensitive destinations.
